GI Threaded rod

OUR SERVICESA threaded rod is made of stainless steel which is commonly known as a metal fastener or stud having a threaded structure on both its ends.

Threaded rod comes in a wide range of length, thickness, grade and materials and is mostly used in building remodelling electrical repair work and automobile service operations. Threaded-rod can be easily found at electronics stores,fastener suppliers and manufacturers.

According to EN ISO 898-1 the standard color marking for threaded rods based on mechanical properties are:

  •  Grade 4.8 – no marking
  •  Grade 5.6 – colour brown
  •  Grade 5.8 – colour blue
  •  Grade 8.8 – colour yellow
  •  Grade 10.9 – colour white
  •  Grade 12.9 – colour black
  •  Stainless steel A2 – colour green
  •  Stainless steel A4 – colour red

A threaded rod is a connector that works because of the threading which allows the rotating motion to secure the rod; other attachments like bolts and nuts can easily fasten to a threaded rod. Threaded rods are a useful fixation for frameworks and are used for a broad range of industrial manufacturing. They are built to withstand relatively high concentrations of pressure and tension.

Zinc Plated Threaded Rod is used to cover the steel with zinc powder by the process of electroplating.

Zinc plating covers specification F1941 by ASTM . It is generally made of A307 low carbon steel with zinc finish.

A2 Stainless Steel Threaded Rod

ASTM A193 Grade B8 stainless steel rod is the most commonly used rod. Stainless steel rods are ideal for commercial and industrial applications and in places exposed to chemicals and corrosion such as industries and refineries where they can sustain high temperatures.

A4 Stainless Steel Threaded Rod:

It uses  grade A4 M12 stainless steel and is also known as austenitic threaded rod due to being highly resistant and non corrosive. Along with Austentite it contains a high amount nickel and chromium amd addition of Molybdenum, providing it a heart strength and durability. It can sustain extreme environmental conditions and are widely used in marine or plumbing applications.

Nonferrous and Exotic Threaded Rod Material:

These threaded rods are made out of: aluminum, brass, copper, silicon bronze, monel and different nickel alloys. It is a cost-effective option and is also sturdy and lightweight well as non-corrosive
