Duct Fabrication

OUR SERVICESHeating, air filtration, conditioning, humidity control, dehumidification, purifying, and indoor air quality should all be included in the HVAC system to facilitate improved indoor air conditions.

By using the duct systems, the primary purpose of HVAC air conditioning systems is to provide occupant comfort from uncontrollable outside temperatures, as well as health safety. HVAC equipment that is effective must be energy efficient and meet hygienic, commercial, fire, and safety protocols.

Planning and mapping along with necessary calculations of the Duct work is the first step to have an efficient and long lasting Duct System.

Ductwork is commonly made from a metal like galvanized steel or aluminum and fibreglass. These should be generally insulated with a layer of Nitrile rubber sheet or a fiberglass duct board as a layer to ensure there are no air leaks and that the air flow is smooth and balanced

To understand the best ductwork for your house or office, you need to understand the two types of Duct System and their types.

The Supply Duct System:Just after air has been filtered and treated by the HVAC system, the supply air duct is utilised to transmit the heated or cooled air to the rooms. It then passes to the Air handling unit after being conditioned to the optimum temperature and humidity, and finally it travels through the duct system to the return air plenum.

The Return Air Duct System: The HVAC system is responsible for transferring as well as removing the exhaust air from the building. If the air is not drawn out, air pressure will build up inside the indoor space, carrying heat, humidity, and toxins with it, resulting in an unpleasant and stuffed interior atmosphere. These Return ducts then transfer the air outside through a system of grilles and an outlet.

OUR SERVICESThere are two common Types of Supply Air Ducts:

Extended Plenum Duct Systems:

This system contains a main supply trunk which is attached to the air handler unit. A system of small duct branches and run outs extend out of the supply plenum’s main trunk. This system is useful to provide a balanced airflow to each room and is installed within the building’s ideal conditioned space. The size of the main ducts should ideally be 24 feet in case of a single installed plenum and should not extend this limit.

Radial system:

In this type of Duct System there are no branches,run-outs or main supply trunk, rather a radial system is directly connected to the air handler by using a smaller supply plenum. The radial system is typically installed in the attics or crawl spaces where it is not required to conceal the duct an can be designed for upflow, downflow or horizontal air handlers

The Return Air duct is usually of two types:

Distributed return duct system: where each room has a separate system of return duct for the air to flow back to the air handler and ensures an even air flow in the system.

and 2)

Central return duct system: relies on central return grilles that is installed near an air handler.

A duct system is the most important part of a Ventilation System to ensure that air is being transferred to the exact location and unfiltered air is being pulled out of the house. So, before you start with the Duct work make sure you know the types of ducts and map out its pathways
