Bare duct - KPA

Bare duct

OUR SERVICESBare ducts are usually made of Aluminum and are designed for HVAC and exhaust appy with low or medium pressure systems.

It is made with a system of round spring wire formed into a helix and extremely flexible. A bare duct is uninsulated and so the temperature inside of the duct and ambient temperature remains the same.

They are made out of a flexible plastic material wrapper over a metal coil to give it shape. They can be used conveniently as an attachment between rigid ductwork and air outlets.

Bare Ducts are a lightweight and highly flexible duct system that can be employed in small spaces or houses with limited space. They are relatively inexpensive and simple to set up. It is composed of a light metal that has been formed into a spiral or helix structure and is flexible in structure, as the name suggests. These ducts have a weak support structure and are not very long-lasting.

A system of registers and grilles is used to push air into rooms (registers) and to send hot air outside (grilles), and it is an important part of the air conditioning system to maintain appropriate air flow throughout the building.

Advantages of bare ducts:

  • These reduce the installation task by replacing the elbows and offsets of the duct work and is very convenient.
  • Bare Ducts being flexible is the most advantageous factor as it can be installed in almost all places and bent, turned or compressed as required. They can be moved into different directions and are unbreakable.
  • As they require very little maintenance and they do not need to be replaced frequently, they can sustain for longer giving them a longer working life.
  • They require very less mechanical equipment, also reducing the cost of installation and are also very simple to install.
  • Being uninsulated, these ducts are a great addition to Ventilation and exhaust systems to cut down costs on heavy ducting equipment.
Despite being an adjustable option, flexible ducts can resist air flow and are prone to poor installation.

They are vulnerable to extreme conditions and may have seals that are loose, sagging duct, poor sizing and support or can become crumpled most of the time and are much less durable than sheet metal.
