These Access doors provide a quick and simple installation process and an easy access to metal ducts and ensure a tight seal without hindering the air circulation.

HVAC access doors make it more convenient to remove out dust and certain other unwanted materials that can accumulate over time, causing ventilation units to run inefficiently or even causing damage. Bacterial and mould growth, potentially harmful pests, and a number of different or other biological hazards are all potential challenges involved with dirty ductwork. The incorporation of an air duct access door improves access to difficult-to-reach areas. Air quality is more crucial than it ever has been.

The installation of an HVAC duct access door is relatively straightforward, requiring only a few tools. A properly installed HVAC duct access door will provide an air-tight, leak-proof seal while still allowing for easy access to fresh air.

Specifications of an Access Door and Frame:

  • The panels of the Access Door and Frame should be made from Galvanized steel sheet of about 22 gauge.
  • A neoprene gasket with about 3mm thickness must be provided to avoid air leaks.
  • The panel of the door should ideally be insulated with fiberglass.
  • It should be provided with zinc plated cam locks and handle plated with chromium for easy removal and installation.

There are several types of Air Duct access doors for flat duct, round duct or square framed.

Sandwich access door:

A sandwich access door provides easy access to ducts and is designed for ducts with grease and is made up of stainless steel. Due to having a ceramic fibre gasket it is ideal for high temperature application.

Round and Flat Duct Access Doors:

This type of access door is extremely simple to install and requires no welding and drilling and other heavy equipment.

The sandwich access door is available in rectangular or flat or round sizes and is compatible with most systems.

Square Framed Access Doors:

The Square Framed Access Doors are well insulated and double-gasketed with neoprene and are ideal for both high and low pressure applications.

These access doors are made of 24 gauge or 22 gauge galvanized steel depending upon the system need.

Round and Flat Duct Access Doors:

As the name suggests these access doors are round shaped and flat and used for the same shape of the duct.

These come with both insulated and uninsulated versions and need no frame or special tools without compromising on the insulation or working efficiency.
