Duct Materials and Accessories

WHAT WE OFFERDucts are long pipe-like structures that form a channel throughout your house to condition air and ensure a proper flow of hot and cold air from inside or outside.

A duct system is a network of metal pipes that runs throughout your home and connects to vents that supply heating and cooling to various rooms

Ducts are an important component of air conditioning systems. They aid in the removal of a significant amount of humidity and stale air from your home.

Flexible ducting is best suited for small and tight interiors where installing rigid systems or large structures is inconvenient. It can also be used to integrate to an air outlet at the end of a rigid ductwork system. Flexible ducts are pipe ducts made of wire coil or polyurethane that can be easily bent into various angles. Any twisting or bending during configuration must be prevented as it may reduce air flow. These ducts are considerably cheaper and easier to install.

Heating, air filtration, conditioning, humidity control, dehumidification, purifying, and indoor air quality should all be included in the HVAC system to facilitate improved indoor air conditions. By using the duct systems, the primary purpose of HVAC air conditioning systems is to provide occupant comfort from uncontrollable outside temperatures, as well as health safety. HVAC equipment that is effective must be energy efficient and meet hygienic, commercial, fire, and safety protocols.

A system of registers and grilles is used to push air into rooms (registers) and to send hot air outside (grilles), and it is an important part of the air conditioning system to maintain appropriate air flow throughout the building.

As the ventilation ducts need to maintain heat loss and also balance the air temperature while transporting hot air through the ducts, insulation of the ducts is a great way to ensure that there is no heat loss and the energy uptake by the system is less leading to energy conservation and low carbon footprint, so that it doesn't contribute to higher bills.

There is also a system of Bare Ducts which are a lightweight and highly flexible duct system that can be employed in small spaces or houses with limited space. They are relatively inexpensive and simple to set up. It is composed of a light metal that has been formed into a spiral or helix structure and is flexible in structure, as the name suggests. These ducts have a weak support structure and are not very long-lasting.

Ductwork  and most of its accessories should be commonly made from a metal like galvanized steel or aluminum and fibreglass.

Other sealing and connecting parts of a duct are : Aluminium foil tapes, VCDs, Clips and cleats etc.

A duct should be generally insulated with a layer of Nitrile rubber sheet or a fiberglass duct board as a layer to ensure there are no air leaks and that the air flow is smooth and balanced.

Planning and mapping along with necessary calculations of the Duct work is the first step to have an efficient and long lasting Duct System.

A proper design of duct along with all the necessary accessories required to seal and secure the duct will ensure that the air is being properly supplied and pulled from the rooms and there is no friction or turbulence while the air flows through the ducts.
