C Clips (Cleats)

OUR SERVICESThe Cleats/Clips are an important component in the fabrication of the duct system because they connect and protect the two ducts that will be joined together.

These cleats connect the narrower sides of these ducts, which are usually 180° or less. These clips allow for a smoother and more efficient design of the duct system, as well as a much simpler assembly of the internal parts. As a result, it saves a significant amount of time during installation or replacement of any part. Because of the simple and effective design, the parts can be easily disassembled for cleaning or maintenance. Because these clips are airtight, they reduce the possibility of duct damage and air leaks.

Some specifications of the C Clips are:

  • You can adjust it vertically or horizontally according to your needs through a Gripple Hanger.
  • Cam locks are cylindrical fasteners and can be placed at about 60°angle horizontally by using C Clips.
  • It can be fitted according to the system needs after proper surveying and revision and can be changed as needed.
  • It is available in sizes of 3 mm and 6 mm and in lengths of from 1 m to 10 m.
  • The C cleats are designed to secure the bare edges of the duct.

C Clips/Cleats are generally used for Rectangular ducts. These cleats are used in attachment of the joints and frames of the duct and are commonly used for individual duct pieces. They help in assembling the longer side or the top and bottom part of the duct securely.

Things you must know about C Clip usage:

  • Before you start assembling the duct pieces it is important to seal them with a neoprene gasket between the flanges of the duct.
  • Make sure the material is made of galvanized steel.
  • Use an approved mastic or sealant for the ducts as it will avoid any air leaks or damage to the edges.
  • Make sure you insulate the duct for greater working and efficiency.
  • Check if the C cleats cover the bate edges of the ducts .

Before any installation make sure you read the safety codes and construction procedures and related laws for you building and area and always be ready with safety gears like rubber gloves, eye goggles, helmet and masks
